What's wrong with a sealed oiling system like this? Legit question, it seems that they're getting a bit popular for remote mount turbos (trucks, other V8s, etc) and thats how all superchargers are.

I'd rather not have a tiny *** oil reservoir for the turbo. If you dont check it often enough, or it leaks more than normal you're screwed. Not to mention heat capacity of that small amount of oil.

because of the poor dyno. compared to my car on the same day (with blown oil rings) it didnt output as well.

this was my t3 super 60 on wastegate, with a custom IM with 4" runners and a blown motor compared to an aerocharger at wastegate:

Wow wtf, really? What kind of compressor wheel do they use? I agree a nice billet wheel would be sweet, but I guess theyre not as modular as I hoped. Torque curve looks beautiful, but thats a hell of a lot of power youre missing out on

I dont know, their maps look like turbos from the 90's. Really narrow (possibly a scaling issue) and peak at 68-72% efficiency.

That's awful. Turbos with less than 75% nowadays are just...embarrassing.

I like Todd's numbers. The curves look very interesting, but the numbers aint bad

hurp durp I wasn't asking about the setup, I was asking about turbochargers, of course you would have to change the manifold for the turbo. I've already stated that.

I also am getting tired of these dynos as they only show one thing, 4th gear wot on the dyno. Who has acceleration data of different gears? Lets see that!

We dont know what information youre asking for that the dyno doesnt really already tell you..

He wants to see how slow the car can be if you only make low end power but it runs out of juice by the time you hit what should be the power band. He seems to want to make a car that only needs to rev to 5k. I bet there are some motorcycle turbos that would work well.

You keep trying ot re-invent some wheel which wasn't broken in the first place, and overcomplicate things that are very simple, and do everything a$$-backwards thinking you're smarter than everyone else.

The funny part is that you're failing. Miserably.

Pretty much no one does dyno pulls in 1st/2nd gear, because:
1) its dangerous
2) its pointless
3) it won't tell you much

You realize gearing, weight, etc will render a plot like that useless, EVEN IF you managed to get someone bored enough to try something like this, because it still won't tell you how YOUR car will load up the car in 1st gear on teh street and how YOUR 1st gear will feel.

Reason people do it in the 1:1 is because it gets rid of like 100 variables, and even then there is a WILD variation between similar cars and similar dyno's.

You are a funny guy. In a failtastic sort of way.

He wants a turbodiesel.
He just doesn't want to admit it, and will amuse us with yet another failure of a build before finally giving in.
And if he does pull this off somehow, his car will suck and we will say "I told you so".

turbodiesel or a lot of these newer direct injection turbo cars make great low end powa and not a lot of revs. I had a mazdaspeed 3 and that's exactly how the stock turbo powerband is. Cobalt SS with its newer turbo and twin scroll even more so out of a little 4 banger. to get the kind of response you're looking for you're probably going to need to do more than just upgrade the turbo...which you seem very against doing. good flowing manifold, short ic piping, modern small turbo... with a small budget what you want just might not be possible. or get a PD supercharger.
