Default 2554 spitting out oil

This is a second hand 2554 that had only roughly 6k miles on it.

Yesterday i took the car out for the second time since the new motor went in and drove around, came back and checked the intercooler lines and i saw oil spitting out the outlet on the compressor housing

Its been sitting, bolted up to my car all the while im driving N/A as in, the inlet and outlet pipes go no where. I fried my mspnp from a bad car shortage right before the engine was removed so i have all factory parts installed like Inj,ecu, afm, intake snorcal, coil pack and wires, spk plugs, tps

All my lines are perfect, no uphill bends on the drain and feed is off the side of the block from my 1.6. The feed even has a size .035" Oil restrictor.

The 2554 is on a newly rebuilt engine from top to bottem too!

Not only is the 2554 my only issuse but im having laggy ignition timing problems. i have it advanced to 14-16* (while its N/A for now of course)and still the car runs shitty

Any advice is GREATLY appreciated!

Well, not much it could be besides a screwed turbo. Sorry.

As for the ignition, are all your grounds hooked up?

No, its connected to the incooler and then after the intercooler theres no piping so it just blows out the side behind the bumper

How are your breather tubes routed?

I have a oem replacement pcv on there and a breather filter on the other side of the valve cover

I hope I'm missing something. You have the turbo installed but just "venting" the boost? If that's right you killed the turbo by over spinning it. Theres no boost signal to tell the wastegate to open so you were running max boost all the time.

edit: just realized you only drove it twice like that. I don't know how long/hard it was driven, but I do know those ball bearing turbos are pretty fragile

Unless he had the had the WG clip disconnected then the exhaust can go through the port

Not sure on how early it spools but i dont think it can spin 15 + psi at 3k unless you had nitro and a 2L.

I don't think that's high enough to spin it to full boost either, I'm sure you werent mashing the pedal to get to 3-4k rpm, but with no restriction (no boost pressue working against it) I don't know how it behaves.

I'd think a turbo that compresses to free air will spool up quite alot faster than normal.
Did you have an air filter on the inlet? If not, foreign particle damage may have caused it to die.

Anyway, take your loss and get the 2560 from the FS section for <500.

You know what..when i drain the oil for the first time on the new engine there were SOOOO many metal particles (from the new piston rings) in the oil and a HUGE clump on my magnetic drain plug.

i changed the oil at 30 miles and i was thinking what if the metal from the rings got into the turbo and fucked it up..

Just earlier i put a piece of cloth over the outlet and put a worm ring band to hold it down to see if i leaked any oil after unhooking/removing the wastegate arm and so far i see no oil stains on the cloth so i hope it was the wastegate arm being attached and causing to much pressure that was the problem.

heading over the gas station to fill up and go for a short cruise through the twisties.

let you all know afterwords

came back from the 40mile cruise with good results.

With the piece of cloth clamped over the outlet of the housing i see no oil spots or any signs of oil.

Hopefully the leaking has stopped for sure! (crosses fingers )

Anymore ideas are welcome!

Should be caught by the oil filter before it gets to the turbo? If it came from the rings, then the particles have to go through the oil sump, the pump, then the filter, before getting to the turbo bearings.
