Default Stock ecu, I loved you once.....but we are breaking up

My stock ecu and I have been together for some time. We have had a lot of good times together. Today at the dyno my stock ecu didnt like the 8* weather and decided to run the injectors at 9.5:1 AFR's...this to me was a sure sign that my stock ecu no longer loves me. I couldnt believe Betsy ( my ecu ) would do me like that, thats just a slap in my face. Well, we broke up...now Im moving onto a lot more high maintenance ecu, but damn is she hot.

Hyrda? AEM? You know that Magna is going to be heart broken when he finds out you've ditched the OE ECU.

The Hydra... I know, hes gonna be so sad. See I think the stock ecu defalts to a very rich map when its so cold out, and that coupled with 120psi of fuel locked the injectors open and I mean it was black smoke everywhere:( So onto something better.

Good for you, man. My EMU is such a huge improvement over the afpr--not to mention how freakin sweet datalogging is--I will never recommend an afpr based system again.

Good luck with the Hydra. Supposed to be a real bitch to tune, but the results speak for themselves.

meh, ill figure it out. I looked over the software and it doesnt seem so bad. Jeremy at FM will make me a nice basemap with cold start and all the little things already dialed in basically. All I need to do is fine tune it.

There is a guy selling a Hydra on the DFWmiata.com website. (I have no affiliation) I don't recall what he wants for it, but it may be worth checking out.
