Default Injectors ticking

I installed 550 ccs new injectors in a stock 1990 controlled by an MS2. Right after install I heard a ticking noise coming from the intake manifold area. this is definitely not HLA noise. i never heard this noise on the miata before.

the injectors are from FiveOMotors, brand new, Bosch EV14. i calibrated the MS for the new injectors based on the calculator in the menu. the car runs fine, no difference from before.

could it be something else other than the injector(s)? i really don't think so, as this is the only thing i changed.

if it is an injector, what does this mean? can i drive it or should i try to identify which one and request another one from fieveomotors?

thanks

I have exactly the same thing with my 550cc EV14s on a '91 controlled by an MS1. The injectors run fine, but are *so* noisy.

This was what I got from Bruce Holt at Fiveomotorsport when I reported this issue:

"The noise issue is with your installation not the injectors. Check it out."

I'm not particularly happy, as I've removed and reinstalled the injectors twice now and still get the loud ticking noise. My old Supra green top injectors were silent in comparison.

You encounter lots of loud things in life, including people. Doesn't mean they are doing more work than the quiet ones ...

Looks like the EV14s are plain noisy at idle. I'm fine with this, but wish that Fiveomotorsport would have admitted it rather than question the installation.

I had DSM injectors in my old Honda and they were so loud it sounded like the valves were out of adjustment.
