Insight on 1994 build
 

Hi there, I've just recently bought a 1994 c package Miata in great condition with about 120,xxx on it. I've been researching and stalking the market for information on turbo builds and I think I have a good idea of what I'm looking for. Here is what I am thinking:

My question is; what other parts would I need and are there any I need to change? I'm pretty sure I would need a wastegate but I am still new to the turbo game. Along with needing oil lines for the turbo because I do not believe that the FM intercooler comes with it. If anyone has any words of wisdom when it comes to a 210whp build, I would greatly appreciate it! My budget is about 5 grand and I have enough experience with cars that I am sure I will be able to install it with little to no help. Lastly, I am new to this forum so if this thread belongs somewhere else then send me a message and I will move it to its proper place! Thank you all!

If you don't mind being a bit more "diy" on your build, I recommend kraken's kit especially if you don't have a plan for the rest of the exhaust. The entire kit (manifold, downpipe, and exhaust) is a bit more expensive than what FM charges for just their manifold and DP.

The reason for my "diy" quote above is I would go ebay on intercooler and buy a 2" intercooler piping kit off ebay.

For clutch, i'm running a FM level 1 clutch. I find it's extremely easy to use, almost like stock. I hear very good things of Supermiata's clutch as well.

For oil/coolant lines, I just made AN lines myself, they are pretty easy to make. I believe kraken includes water/oil lines in the kit, you may want to contact him if you go that route. There is a long weight though so that may detour you from purchasing a kraken kit.

I'm currently running a AEM320 fuel pump but in hindsight, I probably should have gotten a Walbro 190.

Where are you located? I have about a 2 week turn around time on MKTurbo setups right now. Everything you need at a reasonable price.
