Frustrated.
So, I have everything sitting in my garage ready to be put on, but I'm having such a difficult time deciding if I really want to put everything on, or if I should try and sell it all and purchase ITB's instead. I'm not in the realm of wanting a LOT more power, just a noticable amount.
I keep coming up with small issues that set me back another month.... another month.... another month, etc..
My latest question is, when I tapped the pan, it was tapped every so slightly out-of-round (i tapped it about 1 mm too far to the left), so I had to JB-Weld in the fitting instead of actually putting tapping it and putting it in that-a-way.
Turns out I used JB-Kwik instead of JB-Weld, which has a melting point of 300f, and a friend informed me that it's very likely that the oil coming out of the turbo would be most likely at-or-higher then 300f.
Does anyone have any realistic knowledge of how hot it should be?
(For references sake my wastegate will be running me at 9psi minimum, and the turbo is a Garrett 2252)
I'm also a bit frustrated because I found out my 305cc injectors might be too small. :/ Is it realistic to have a stock fuel system with 305cc injectors putting out 9psi boost without any problems?

Ok...busting your chops. Really...just install the **** already.
Do engine management stuff first, so there's less holding you back later one when you invariably want to turn up the boost.
Even wastegate is HELLA fun in a Miata, and much more noticeable than some irrrtb setup will be.
As far as injectors are you using bandaids or a real ECU?

I think you'll be disappointed with IRTBS.. Since you already have all of the parts, you might as well boost your car. I'm currently running wastegate boost on my car and as Gospeed said, it's a blast in 1st and 2nd gears. However, I can't wait to up the boost to about 12 psi to have more power up top.
Anyhow, I don't think your oil temps will hit 300F and if they do, you seriously need to do something to reduce your oil temps such as install an oil cooler.

I agree. I installed everything at once, but luckily I didn't have one oil, fuel, or coolant leak and everything was mechanically sound or it could have turned into a nightmare. Learning to use the Megasquirt's been trying enough for me, but it would be an absolute nightmare if mechanical issues crop up at the same time.
