Default nissan 300zx and SR20DET

Are the turbos from each car the same? By the same i mean do they both use the same manifold bolt pattern and the same Down pipe Pattern? I don't care about the air inlet and the intercooler piping.

I just need to know if they accept the same bolt pattern from both manifold and down pipe. Thanks.

Also, what turbo would you suggest for ~200WHP? on a 1.8l

Default Nissan turbos

Ok- here's what I have found...

1984 300Z used a T3 60/63, oil only CHRA. (not sure on the a/r's)
1985-87 300Z used a T3 60/63, water cooled CHRA.
1988-89 used a T25. As far as the nissan guys are concerned, that T25 isn't good for much on the V6.

http://www.az-zbum.com/information.basic.shtml

The SR20DET used a T25, with various A/R - I think the biggest one was a .63 hotside. It was the GT2560 (I think) and had a T3 flange on the turbine housing. Others are probably a T25 flange.

This might help identify your flange: http://www.forcedinductions.com/help.htm

now what about those 300zx about 1989 will those be using the T25 flange? and will they share the same exhaust flange?

Your sig says you already have a sr20 t25. If it's from a red top then it's a pretty good turbo. Get it rebuilt, professionally or follow the write-up elsewhere on this site.

I think the 300zx t25 is smaller than the sr20 ones, don't quote me on that though.

i think the turbine outlet flanges are different. the standard nissan t25 is a 5 bolt and the 300zx turbo is a 4 bolt t2 flange or somthing

Probably not, post a WTB on a 240/drift forum, a lot of people have them, I also have them just laying around

Tom, you've been PM'd, but some guys here beat me to it.
As you can imagine, the stock SR20det compressor flanges are a hot commodity. The compressor inlet/outlet adapters will not work in a Miata application. They are both curved and will point the wrong way no matter how you clock the compressor. I did a **** ton of homework on this. There are two options. One, Dremel off the flanges on your compressor housing to make them round so they'll accept couplers... or buy the ATP adapters like I did.

Here you go for the Dremel method:
https://www.miataturbo.net/forums/showthread.php?t=7293

Here are the adapters you need. They are located in the Catalog-GT BB Install parts page. Be patient, the ATP website sucks:

I have 300ZX T25 and an HKS manifold.

For the DP.
I found it was a lot easier to just make a flange then try a buy one. You can make one simply by using some 1/2" flat stock, drilling 4 holes for the turbo to mount and then use a torch/plasma cutter to cut out the center section.

I knew I should have built two of them at the time...
