Default Nissan downpipe?

I'm a here but not to cars, turbos or the internet, and I searched already.

Has anyone made a Nissan downpipe (or one of the really cheap upgrades all over Ebay) for an SR20DET work with a bottom-mount manifold in a Miata with a T25/T28 turbine housing?

Combine it with the Ebay ripoff of the manifold Corky had built,

http://tinyurl.com/3ucf7t

and you could have one hell of a cheap x good factor.

If Bell sold the manifold as a stand-alone product, maybe I'd buy it, but IMO, the rest of his setup swings between ostentatiously overdone (downpipe, which also doesn't seem to allow the use of a cat, and I like breathing) to hack job. I wouldn't pay him for anything but the manifold, which, if his intercooler piping is anything to go by, he doesn't make in-house. But that's just speculation, I haven't visited his shop.

My basic proposal would look kinda like what these guys did:
http://tinyurl.com/3urvpc
and
http://tinyurl.com/3o3fqp
(The second one appears to be a different manifold, without the tab to reinforce the collector, for example.)

Obviously, there's a lot of hearsay about ebay stuff cracking. No direct input on either of the Bell ripoffs. The only first-hand report I found here was the Ghettocharged setup. From what I read in another thread earlier this morning, MarkP's SSautochrome manifold got fixed and is still going strong. Update?

Start with post 6.

Oh, wait, you have the last post in that thread.

MarkP:
Experience, if you get this manifold be careful how you brace the wastegate. I broke mine but only because I was stupid. The steel was actually pretty thick wall. The wastegate mount is particularly sensitive to having weight suspended from it.
dvcn:
I have Markp's old manifold, I did a very poor weld on the crack that I didn't think was that bad. I ran it about 1,500 miles with no bracing. No cracking or anything falling off. I have since braced the turbo and external wastegate and still no problems.

After 3,500 miles (3 double driver autox's, a trip to the dragstrip and 3rd gear wheelspin every day) the cheap chinese ebay turbo(T3/T4), wastegate(38mm), bov(SSQV knockoff), intercooler, piping, silicone connectors AND the exhaust manifold are all functioning perfectly.
50k miles is more of a test, but still.

This is a great example of what I'm thinking about for turbo position. I'd actually rather have this manifold than the Ebay one. And the rest of it is pretty sweet, too. Mad props fo' the OCD and lack of cut corners.

FWIW, BEGi will sell any and all of their parts separately, and all of their downpipes bolt up to a cat in the stock location.

Guess I better pick up the phone, instead of relying on vendors' web sites.

I had forgotten how far back the cat is. It's been a while since I helped with a Miata turbo install. I've been living with a lot of close-coupled newer stuff the last few years. Just searched the Bell site, it doesn't say anywhere on there explicitly that anything bolts to a stock cat, just some talk about emissions legality for the more basic kits.

Guess I could have read more on the non-DIY forum, but what's the fun of that?
