Default T25 vs. T28?

How tough is it to put a Garrett T25 on a manifold for a T28? Are they both standard T2 flanges?

Just making sure. I'm heavily debating buying the mani/dp/intercooler listed on the m.net classifieds.

It's a little overpriced when you consider that you could get an E-bay Intercooler and brand new BEGi Manifold and Downpipe for less. I mean $750 seems a little high especially when the downpipe is listed as being mild steel and not stainless. Granted you'd still have the Intercooler piping to contend with but it's just not that hard to do.

$385 for the stainless DP and $250 for the old style manifold... sounds like a better deal add in an Ebay intercooler and you're ahead of the game.

Looks like $99 can get you a pretty serious intercooler, and a new one at that with a 3.5" core. Someone else said these were pretty decent despite the price.

So lets see 385+250+99 = $734 for all new parts except for some minor piping. No brainer, I'll take the new parts (especially considering the manifold and downpipe will have a warranty!)

Mark

PS - for those of you on a serious budget

$59 intercooler...

I bought one a few weeks back... that and the new-style DP are a great match!

Sam, with a bit extra money I think I would copy your setup, part for part.

Yep. He's done all the "leg work" and documented it. What a guy! It's like getting the plans to build a Miata turbo kit for free. And there are options to make his approach cheaper now and upgrade later - like buying less turbos. :gay:
