Default Stupid intercooler question

This must be a stupid question, but in all my reading of this forum I've never seen it come up:

How do you actually mount a generic intercooler to the front of the car? I assume it gets somehow fastened in there, but the cars probably don't have much for mounting points, and the intercoolers don't have miata-shaped brackets. What's a boy with no fabrication tools to do when he gets an intercooler?

When I did my last build I used a starion IC and we had brackets welded onto it, but I would prefer not to have to modify the IC this time.

I used the holes in the front support. I'll go take a pic.

I'm using a generic mishimoto intercooler and I used a bunch of aluminum bar-stock. I made two "L" shaped brackets to attach the threaded mounting points on the bottom of the intercooler to the A/C condenser mounting points IIRC.

I mounted mine to the holes already in there.

I have seen a lot of folks use plumbers tape, (I think thats what it is called) Just metal strips with holes every inch or so and just bend it into shape
