Will I gain powah????
Okay, I was thinking about FMIC's (Mostly due to the last post) But was wondering, I have a crappy Ebay front mount (22x9x3) now...if I where to switch to say a Bar/Plate Full-Race FMIC (20x11x3 rated for 700whp) and run 3" cold side piping would I pick up any power??? Stupid question but I'm on the quest for 400....no 500hp on pump with this little ol 1.6 ...

In my opinion, I think you should start to look at displacement first for power. Judging by your profile, you've invested some $$$ in a 1.6....but in order to reach the 400-500whp range, money is probably better spent on engine displacement. Of course this isn't factoring how much $ it'll cost to build up a 1.8l long block, swap parts over, etc.

I don't know what the technical differences are bewtween the two intercoolers but that's a difference of only 66 cubic inches which is only 10pct difference. Offset that with pressure loss and it could be a wash.
I put up a thread recently asking if a small intercooler with WI could function well for high hp situations. The consensus was that with WI a small intercooler would be efifcient enough.
Have you considered WI? The cost of that intercooler would be close to the cost of WI with safeties.
Also plz do tell us what ur turbo is . And my vote is to keep ur 1.6. As for eliminator, he may be running a stroker but he also has great intake and exhaust manis, good spark etc etc so its not apples to apples.

Frankly, your reccommendation sucks. Why don't you give him the thousands of dollars required for that extra little bit of hp?

The endtanks are fine, it's the transition into the runners which leaves much to be desired:
see how they protrude past the plane? that's the downside of tube and fine, otherwise they hold the advantage over B&P.

I have a T3/60-1 turbo, I'm debating on which turbo to go for maybe the new Billet wheel from PTE 5758 with a .63 hotside. I know there is no replacement for displacement, well my theory is that boost is the replacement. I have seen D16 SOHC Honda motors make over 600 whp on a head that doesn't flow that well. I'm going to run WI soon, also. I have a Flipside Customs manifold with 70MM TB just have not got the chance to put it on yet...

You're right, yeah my motor is built...I really don't care about lag, and I don't get full boost around 4,500 already. Lag is really a good thing, I don't have to worry about traction issues so much! My problem is I cannot decide on what turbo to go with.
