you did not search.

Sam, this is the only time I'm going to tell you this... and it's only because I like your name. Normally, NOOBs who ask a question this damn stupid get my "stupid damn noob lecture"... but since you've got a cool name. I'll just spoon-feed you better information than giving you the answer to your question and perhaps you can answer that question and future questions yourself before starting stupid damn threads.
Ahem. Sam, listen carefully. Before start any threads on this forum or ask any questions, you must do 5 things first. #1: Read the FAQ... then read it again. #2: Read the Useful Saved Posts... then read through them again to make sure you didn't miss it the first time. #3: Visit the "Supporting Vendors" websites to see if perhapes they make, sell, advertise, or have the information you're looking for. #4: Read all the fucking stickies in all the fucking forums. #5: Use the fucking search function. Specifically do "title" searches. If you had done those things, you would have found this thread: https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/showthread.php?t=19358 Although that sticky in the "Prefabbed Kits Forum" doesn't specifically mention your particular manifold, any reasonable person would recognize the same awesome chrome plating and assume all the information applied. If you had seen that sticky before and assumed the manifold you were looking at was different, then you're not too bright. If you had seen it and didn't mention it in this thread... as such "Hey, I saw the sticky on ebay turbo "kits", but what about this manifold by itself..." then you would still be very dull because you started this thread in another forum, but at least we would know you did #3 first and wouldn't get crapped on so hard. Well, in the end, I guess I did give you my fairly standard and often repeated NOOB lecture. I hope you learned something that will help you in the future, not only on this forum, but in all other forums you'll ever belong, and perhaps a little "life" lesson or two as well. Oh yah, and just to show you I'm not the only guy on the internet who's got a kind soul just looking to show NOOBs the light... watch this flash: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/posting |
well, im not really ill knowledged on the turbo subject. Im new to forums though. I never really had a need to use forums with coolcatracing(coolcatracing.com), a miata specialty shop, close by. Im just trying to find out what people have used and what people have not used, and their experiences with those parts. I've actually talked to you on youtube multiple times about yours, sam, because you've used the exact same gt25 turbo that I am installing. Im the guy who you were telling your plans for a new miata to like 2 days ago. Thanks for the help though because i know you're very knowledgeable on the subject
oh and btw thats not the same manifold, the one in the sticky you sent was one for a 16g mitsu turbo. the one im using works for garretts t25s because mitsus' have different flanges

Well now that Sam schooled you on the search stuff, it's my turn to do the schooling. :)
Here at miataturbo.net, we have a pretty straight forward grammar policy: Use correct grammar, or ban. With that in mind, here's a few tips to consider when posting.
Sincerely, The Grammar Nazi of mt.net. |
Well sorry but I thought my sentences were easily readable. I really dont see how they could've been misconceived.
It's a respect thing man. You don't come here and ask a bunch of stupid simple questions. Our members are better than that. Same with the grammar. Just asking that you abide by the basics. I'd say once a week we get a newb that gets an attitude because he refuses to search or use grammar. They straighten out or get banned. Be respectful and you will slowly gain respect. You earn respect. Nobody owes it to you.
I understand that, even though UrbanSoot made those exact same grammar mistakes you've just mentioned. Seriously though, the ebay manifold sticky Sam put up was still the wrong one. I have found the right one so I guess i'll shutup now. Sorry, I didnt try to make my last post make me seem like an ass with the, "Well sorry" thing. I was seriously apologizing.
See urbansoot isn't a newb. He's a well respected member that probably has a 1.6 manifold for sale right now if I had to guess. (inside joke, all his shit is always for sale. Seriously I bet he has a 1.6 mani for sale!). Point it he is not a newb and doesn't start dumb threads. He's been here longer than I have, so I have no room to tell him to use correct grammar any more than you would. In his seniority, he saw your post and said "hmm, newb with a few post, no grammar, dumb questions that are answered in the stickys" and he then developed his response you read.
ok, well I understand the issue and see no need to keep discussing it. 1 more win for u guys haha. well im gonna continue searching for a thread on this manifold. Thanks for straightening things out

just kidding, but seriously - read the fucking stickies. thats why we have them in the first place :) |
I really like this Sam guy... we need to give him a little time to grow. He's polite and genuinely interested in contributing here. Give him a few weeks and he'll probably be the next Hustler. HA!
