Megasquirt ECU no start, starts on stock ECU
 
Hello, I’m currently trying to help my friend diagnose an issue on his 91 miata. For a backstory he ran it on this current setup for a whole summer and then parked it for the winter, went to move it out the one day and it wouldn’t start. Since then we’ve tested and confirmed no spark on the megasquirt, confirmed it does have fuel injector pulse, checked both 5V signal reference voltages on the CKP, the one read 0-5V (in spec) and the other read 0-10V (white) (out of spec). We also checked primary circuit resistance on the coil pack and it tested at 1.5 ohms of resistance and the spec is 0.7-0.9 ohms. Aswell as a couple of reference voltage signals off the ignitier that were supposed to be square waves and they were not when they were graphed. We then put the stock ECU back it and it started and ran, leading to a problem in the ECU. But, we tested the megasquirt in another turbo miata and it started and ran and if the ECU was at fault that wouldn’t be the case. So now I’m confused as to what to check. The CKP shouldn’t be the issue cause if that was the case we wouldn’t be getting injector pulse. The problem doesn’t seem to be the ECU. I’m lost and open to ideas before performing more tests tomorrow.
