are you doing dual maps or wastegate/ebc?

Braineack 05-18-2008 02:25 PM

just cutting the ground from the solenoid, fails to wastegate. easy breezy. I dont run closed loop boost control and dont want to for dual maps. And considering my low boost setup would be 0%DC across the board....

When you spend the $11 for the mountable usb cable, and $1 at radioshack for the switch. Then you invest the 30 minutes to make it happen.

I also had to cut two USB cables to make a male/male to fit into the port and my laptop.

mike_671 05-18-2008 04:01 PM

Never thought of any one would use that panel for anything. Sweeeeet!

Saml01 05-18-2008 04:27 PM

Pretty neat. I would probably have put the boost switch in the blank for the defroster though.

Thats a cool idea, I like it! :D

Curious about the USB port though.. What / How does that interface with?

laptop to MS.

My MS is tucked away next to my stock ecu. I had a cable that would come out by the passenger seat to hook into. When the laptop is not in the car, I have to tuck it away, now I can simply plug it in there. No cables laying around when not in use.

no chance of accidentally hitting it with your elbow?

doubtful. I contemplated a few spots, but I like it, easy enough to reverse if I have problems.

yeah yeah. it's really just for rainy days and when my dad drives it. I can easily spool it to 10 pounds without trying at part throttle on the highway, and since my auto TB is still sitting on my dining table....

Braineack 05-19-2008 06:03 PM

here Joe, this make you happy? Variable TPS ready to be installed this weekend, finally got around to it:

not before I port it slightly and shave the butterfly arm down of course.
