Hey guys, I have been hanging here for a while doing a lot of reading and trying to learn as much as I can. A little background on how the hell I got into miatas... My buddy had a miata when I was in college and it was a blast to drive. Now that I own my own business and have a little free time I decided it was time to buy something fun to do. I currently own a 2010 Mazdaspeed3 that has most bolt ons and was dyno'd at 310 to the wheels at 18psi, and I also have a fully bolted 2010 Cobalt SS running E47 that should be around 330-350whp at 25psi. Working on both of those cars I felt pretty confident to get a fun project. I looked at a lot of different cars from another cobalt to a golf gti but then started watching haggard garage which was pretty interesting. I started searching for a blue miata this past spring and found this one within a few hours of me. Most miatas around here are super overpriced and I picked this one up fairly cheap. I brought it home and drove the hell out of it for about a week before I blew out the front strut. I started taking the struts off and some things either wouldnt come off or just plain needed to be replaced. I bought all new rotors/pads, lower control arms, sway bar links and also got some raceland coilovers (I heard mixed reviews so we will see how long they hold up)...you name it in the suspension and I probably replaced it...

Drove the car for a bit with the new suspension and after more reading realized I needed a roll bar, so picked up a hard dog roll bar and installed it over the 4th of july weekend. I always knew I wanted to turbo the car so I started gathering parts, I have never pieced a whole kit together so I knew this was going to be a learning experience. I watched the broke and boosted episodes to get an idea how to do this. I bought a Begi manifold from someone on here used, Sr20 turbo from another person off here, ebay intercooler and piping (misc connections as well), begi downpipe, OBX FMU (terrible btw), ebay boost gauge, Innovate MTX-L wideband and a bunch of other small parts from Begi...anyhow started this in September and had it running in a few weeks. I have been since dealing with FMU problems, I took the OBX one back, bought a vortech and tried different discs...bought a high pressure fuel pump and it still doesnt want to run rich and breaks up in boost...so was going to just buy a megasquirt pnp2 and found a megasquirt pnp1 brand new for sale so I bought that...currently the car runs fine until its in boost. I am waiting for the megasquirt to get here and until then am reading up on how to tune. Anyhow here are the pictures of the journey, enjoy!

oh good. you got inspiration from the 2 most retarded youtube channels on earth

at least you're learning from your mistakes tho. Haggard Garage are truly an embarrassment to human beings.

Alright guys, finally got it done! Just needed to ditch the cheap fmu way and get megasquirt and it runs great! Did some initial light tuning based off what I have read, I know it isnt perfect, running a little rich (high 10's afrs under boost) but it pulls solid to 5-6lbs. Wish I would have just done this right away but oh well..anyhow now I also have to work on cold cranking as it is a bitch and only wants to start after a few trys...got more reading to do!

Use the WUE autotune in tunerstudio.

And make sure priming pulse is turned on. If it is, add 25% to its value and see if it is better. If it helps but isn't enough add more.
