I like to make things... and cars happens to be my focus for the last 6yrs. I basically compared notes on proven cars/setups. Balanced budget/design etc... and worked towards building what I wanted to put on track.

Helps to have friends with the right tools and experience to build what is needed.

I do computers/IT for a living... but I need to get out... bored outta my mind.

Dyno if a cheap dyno day comes up. Otherwise lots of street tuning and then autox/track etc... if money allows... my budget has reached a dead point

+1

I have a sweet townhouse. Been in it a bit over 2 years now. I absolutely love it. But I find myself wanting a shop. That is the ONLY thing that will get me to move out of my current place in the next 5 years, I think.

For me, a 3 car garage just isn't gonna do it. Garages are for parking cars. Shops are for building stuff.

easy. grab a beer.

open door. reach under the dash with your non-beer-bearing hand until what you touch causes a pitch change. unplug the clip on that little box.

done. finish beer.

he used a nissan throttle body because it was in his garage, a bit larger than the miata piece, has a variable tps sensor, and he was making a custom intake manifold. Adapting that to the miata manifold would be pointless and a waste of time.
