More Pre Purchase Consulting---MSM Intercooler

I have been eyeing the MSM intercooler on the BEGI website for a few weeks now. I think I'm going to pull the trigger, seeing as its in great condition and only $50. There doesnt seem to be too much info out there on it, but I dont see myself going much over 160whp on my little T25 and stock ecu set up.

I was just wanting to gauge some opinions before I go ahead an call Bell. If anyone has any experience with the MSM i/c, feel free to chime in.

Thanks for the help, and keep an eye out for a build thread in the next month or two.

Decide which would be easier to mount and route. Then buy that one.

I like the MSM intercooler for a low boost setup...around-the-rad routing and small enough to leave the rad substantially exposed.

Atl nailed it. MSM is a kinda small core, but perfect for sub 200 rwhp as it will have less pressure drop and blocks less radiator frontal area than a larger cooler.

If your goal is under 200 go for it, if it's over 200 get something bigger. If you need something cheap for now and want to go bigger later, you could always set up the MSM cooler with around the radiator pipes, and remove length from the pipes when/if you get a wider cooler.

Also check out the cooler Loki047 has for sale @ $80 shipped.

Dan,
The stock MSM IC will be good to about 180 rwhp. Corky likes the little intercooler even though it is a little unsightly. He has measured very little pressure loss thru the IC. But it does have some slightly odd dimensions. The inlet and outlet is 2.125". Routing to it would be fairly easy. Mounting might be a little bit more of an effort. Hope that helps,
Stephanie
