My New Downpipe
 

I've wanted to make a divorced downpipe ever since I saw Corky's new downpipe design. This past week I finally had some miata time and put one together. The main reason for upgrading my downpipe is because I was experiencing boost spiking at 12psi with my gt25r. I tried adjusting it through my EBC, but never could solve the problem. So, I thought it might be my downpipe design. I've since installed my gt28rs and have been running my old downpipe with no boost spiking...but I'll save that for another thread:)

During installation, I ran into a snag. I was unable to get a good seal at the downpipe flange. I had the flange sanded down, but still was getting exhaust leakage. I broke down and bought a gasket off of ebay the other day. I did not want to disassemble the flange and have it milled flat. Hopefully I'll be able to test this thing out Saturday.

I've tossed around the idea of making a downpipe for hks manifold. I just don't feel like taking apart my car anytime soon.
