My new exhaust (vid and pics inside)

I took all my new exhaust parts over to Bob Bundy's house yesterday to get some help fabbing it up. Well, he did pretty much everything and did a knockout job. I dont think I could ever pay for the quality I have in this exhaust. Every single detail down to the quality of every exhaust hanger...amazing work. All he used was a hacksaw, an angle grinder and a tig welder and some clamps :)
All I have are some cell phone pics during the fab process but tomorrow i'm putting it up on my buddy's lift to take some good camera shots of everything to show the quality. Its a little on the loud side to be honest. I had a cop right behind me today while tuning and they didn't pull me over with my granny shifting. Maybe i'm just paranoid. Magnaflow 6" round, 3" straight through muffler, Summit Racing 3" Resonator (18 inches I think?) No cat. Wouldn't you like this shop in your backyard? looks and sounds good
I like bob's mani |
That is awesome! good job, isn't it great to have friends with shops!!

Yea I think it came out really good. I like fabricating stuff that looks good when you’re done. The fit came out really nice and clean on that one.
On mine I used a smaller magnaflow resonator and a much larger oval magnaflow rear muffler. Seems to be quieter with the big rear muffler I think. Flow has to be huge compared to the stock 1.6 exhaust that came off. Bob |
Sounds pretty good, custom exhaust is a hit of miss with sound, looks like you picked out a good combo in resonator and muffler.

Looks good man, it's definitely a good sounding muffler. I'm surprised more haven't gone that route besides us. I'm very happy with mine, and I don't have a resonator. I'm surprised you think its loud, I think its pretty stealth compared to most. Hard to tell the difference between yours and mine on youtube though.

Damn, this thread reminds me I need a cat soon for emissions testing.

Sorry I haven't gotten good pics of the completed exhaust yet. My buddy's lift has been occupied by a toyota sienna van that is getting a new tranny =P |
Brain, I still have the Magnaflow Cat.

I'm just going to get an Enthuza metal core bolt in. Amount of downtime: 2 minutes.

Oh well it was worth the try...

I was just waiting with anticipation to hear some valve bouncing, but all we got was a few light revs.
Take it up to 7k and hold her there! |
