NB Flyin' Miata turbo downpipe issues.

Hi all,
I've recently been installing my Flyin' Miata turbo kit to my VVT NB. As I was unbolting the exhaust I noticed my down-pipe connects straight into the cat. In their video and their online instructions, the down-pipe unbolts from the cat completely. I've been stuck wondering what to do as I have no way of welding the new down-pipe onto my car. Below are two diagrams showing the difference in the down-pipe. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This image has the same exhaust system that appears in the instructions with the separate down-pipe.

This exhaust system is the same as mine where the down-pipe goes directly into the cat.

I believe you are stuck. You will have to get a flange welded onto the pipe out of the cat, that mates with the flange on the FM down pipe.

You can buy an exhaust, either there's or someone else's, to bolt to your down pipe. But otherwise you'd have to cut your exhaust off where the FM downpipe ends, and have a flange welded on.

Sounds like you're saying your cat is integrated with your downpipe, instead of being bolted between down pipe and catback? If so, you're stuck either getting a flange welded on per Curly, or just getting a new cat that you can bolt to your FM downpipe. Do you by chance have a MSM? Because the parts diagrams show that model having the cat integrated into the DP.

Posting a pic of what you *do* have instead of what you *don't* have would likely be a more fruitful endeavor
