NB2+ 1050x + stock fuel rail + skunk2 manifold= fail

I had the car running on 1050x's with stock rail and stock manifold, and the 45 degree angle of the injectors worked ok enough to get the short body to fit. However now with the skunk 2 manifold there is no way to seat them.

Should i grind down the skunk2 manifold for clearance?
Is there some sort of adapter for the injectors to space them further from head? https://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=639285

Also, the stock fuel rail on the nb2 will not fit with the skunk 2 manifold. The stock fuel pulse damper also contacts the skunk 2 manifold. Looks like ill be grabbing a radium rail.

Has no one done this yet on an nb2?

Yea, its been covered, the nb2 fuel damper interference.
Also, turn your injectors about 30* onto their sides, and they should clear. We had 1050x in at least one of the two test cars.

Ahh, thanks for the link..

I still cant get a way for the id1050x's to play nicely. the wiring clip is too beefy and makes contact with the manifold flange. Im thinking of clearancing the top of the manifold a bit. Really wish Skunk2 would have made these non universal to NA/NB so those extra bolt holes wouldnt cause all of these issues.

I get what you're saying, but that's a lot of extra money in casting and production for something the end user can fix with a grinder.
