Default Link Piggy and Pillar Pods?

A quick two questions for anyone that would like to answer them.

First I want to buy a two gauge a-pillar pods for my 99 miata. I had one in my '92 and loved it but can't find one for my new car. Do they even make one for the newer cars? A pic to show you... http://forums.miataturbo.net/attachm...6&d=1155773289

Second I may have a Link Piggy Back ECU up for sale b/c I wanna go to a Hydra. I have the piggy, the keypad, the Injectors, and the 4 extra injector Manifold that will be for sale. How much do you guys think it is worth? should I sell the injector manifold and the extra injectors or keep them and run them with the Hydra?

Thanks for your input.

Joel

mysterious, hard to find, 2 gauge pod

There really isn't a reason to have an 8 injector setup with the Hydra unless you're going for ENORMOUS power and still care about idle. The Hydra will run low impedance 550s will get you 300+ rwhp and still idle silky smooth.

Only reason I can see to keep the mani is if you can adapt water injection nozzles to the injector bosses. That would be hotness and the Hydra could definately run it.

Are you looking for one that screws onto the stock pillar, or one that replaces the a-pillar?

I got mine for my '96 on ebay, made by autometer.

I think begi and fm as well as moss sell them too.

No idea on the link.

I have a a pillar 2 gauge pod from my '99. It looked good in there.
I'll try and find a picture. I have one from before i bought it, I never took any afterwards.

I'll sell it to you for $22 plus shipping sound fair, pretty sure it's the FM piece. Actually I'll even send you the A pillar predrilled for it if you send me yours and it's in good shape.

Here's the link to BEGI. They have the 99+ double pods for $22.

Guys he's looking for a one piece molded unit, not the pod you attach to the existing a-pillar. Just look at the picture he posted.

That's why I asked, although I guess I didn't answer his question. Moss has the ones that replace the a-pillar for NA's, i've never seen that style for NB's, but I've never looked either.

Why does FM sell/ use the low impedance 550s instead of high impedance 550s? Is there a positive for using the low ones over the high ones that I don't understand?

Thank you guys for all of the links for the A-Pillar pods. As Jayc72 noted I am looking for the entire replacement A-pillar for my '99 and haven't been able to locate one... if they are even made?

So then I think I will be selling the entire Link Piggy and the Manifold with the 4 310cc Injectors. Any one with an idea what everything should be listed for? I am just looking for a reasonable starting price.

http://www.gaugepods.com/mazda.html - Lists that the solid pod is the same from '90-'02, but I'm pretty sure that's incorrect.

Also, if you want to part any of that Link kit out, I am desperately in need of a Keypad! Just PM me if you are interested in selling it alone.

The car will idle better with the low impedance injectors.

The Hydra can control either high or low impedance injectors (it's selectable in the software). If you already have high impedance injectors, I wouldn't source new ones. But if you're starting from scratch, get low impedance injectors.

I think that is where I bought my last one, maybe I'll give them a call.
