New member, boosting a 1992 1.6L!
Hello everyone, as per the sticky, I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Jeremy and I have a 1992 Miata that I plan on boosting over winter break this year.
I've been lurking around here for awhile reading about all the different options, and I've also been watching the Broke and Boosted Series, by the Car Passion Channel So my goal is 130-140 whp, and I'd like to do so on the stock ecu. I've put together a parts list that I plan on using and was wondering if you guys wouldn't mind looking it over and telling me if I'm missing something or just downright wrong. Table of Parts My current setup plan is wideband installed into the stock o2 bunge, with the narrowband sensor wire going into the stock ecu. Then the boost gauge off a vaccum T. Manifold, outlet, and downpipe all installed with the ebay turbo. And then the oil and water lines into the turbo. Finally the FMU mounted and intercept the fuel return. And shoot I forgot about the o2 signal modifer: https://www.flyinmiata.com/fm-o2-signal-modifier.html I hope this doesn't come off as a please spoon feed me post, thanks guys! |
If you only want 130 whp, you should just swap in a 1.8. It'll be much cheaper and much more reliable. Then when you realize that your car is still extremely slow, you have a much much better base for turbocharging. Maybe by then you'll realize that broke & boosted is bad and you will learn to do it right.
