good thought. We'll get to the bottom of it one of these days. :jerkit:

Well... today I woke up at 11am.. thank you mr columbus.. and I was under the car by 11:15. About an hour later I was covered in fuel clutching a very old looking pierburg. When I say old.. I mean I tried the loosen the clamps holding it and they were so aged, they were rusted shut. With Brains help I had previously had my walbro + pier tuned to 35-40 psi idle. Once I removed the pier from the equation.. my idle PSI immediately shot up to 60!!!!! wow. Took the car out w/ the Cartech set to full gain.. and boom.. 120 PSI @ 5-6 PSI boost. With tuning I'm around 100 now. Should be ready for 8 PSI!

Glad you're up and running again. :bigtu: Guess I was wrong about a Pierburg not blocking things. :hs:

yeah, he called me and told me the good news. I was siked! I'm going to stop by tomorrow and check it out. Now I can steal my FP gauge back and tune my BEGi FMU.

Wait.. What fuel pressure gauge? :inout: Yoink

Last night I took the miata out for a spin.. and of course broke something :)

The threaded rod that adjusts into the piece held on by the cotter pin decided to basically pull itself out of the piece held on by the cotter pin. The main problem is: I have to have it pretty much at the end of the thread.. cause any closer and i'm spiking damn near 10 PSI. The only solutions I came up with are locktite it in place and possibly in the future (once tested) tag it in place with a welder.

Opinions?

Oh and one other question. If I'm shorting my fuel pump (walbro 190) in the diagnostic box, will that overall decrease my fuel mileage? Is there any draw backs to having it shorted and running?
