nissan tb03 turbo downpipe
 

so this is my first post but im ready to take the plunge. Here is how it goes...i have a 2000 special edition with the 6-speed and ive been doing a lot of lurking and i am ready to start piecing this rig together. So the other day, my good friend who is a big nissan guy found a 81 280zx turbo at the junkyard and after some research found that it is a t3 turbo with decent characteristics. heres my problem, the downpipe side of the turbo is a 5 bolt but it has a weird cover that makes it a 4 bolt and reduces it to a small hole...what do i do about that? do they make a different flange for it or what? who makes a downpipe that would be compatible with that?

Do not build your setup around a single cheap turbo you found at the junkyard. It is one of the worst ways to start a build.

The turbo will just about be the least expensive part of what you are about to get into. Get a good one.

check zilvia.net I got my sr20t25 for $65 and rebuilt it. t25s are one of the most common used turbos for Miatas, wouldn't be hard to find a manifold for it.
Buy the manifold first then the turbo.
