Kit looks like a POS. Doesnt even seem to have 2" piping. But if you can't make your own or afford a quality kit, why are you asking.

Just buy it, make whatever mods are needed and bolt it up and go.

Maybe clean up the rust before you do it. That IC looks pretty fucked up too.

If i were to get it ,I would just paint the Ic black, and the pipes as well, ans far as the intercooler,Ive seen worse

Ive seen other worse on running cars boosting 15-16 psi, fm makes sturdy work, nothing black spray can't fix, let me ask you this (example) If you could get this fm kit for 230 bucks would you

No I wouldn't, Unlike yourself I wouldn't be afraid of running from "store to store" to pick up a bunch of bends and weld up something better myself using an ebay core.

You do realize painting the IC totally ***** up the heat exchange right? Unless you use paint that is VERY thin.

Yeah, you're right. All the race cars I've ever seen have shiny aluminum colored intercoolers. None of them have ever been painted w/ a dispersant, anodized or alochromed to match body color. Furthermore, I've never seen painted radiators, oil coolers, or tranny coolers, either.

Did you even read through the thread that you posted? I think #11 sums it up:

You have to remember that any paint coating you put in there isn't going to be very thick.

Yes, but do you think rican is going to use any sort of expensive PAINT? No chances are he was going to use thick as **** SPRAYPAINT.

Would you rather he apply it with a brush? BBQ grill spray paint has been the weapon of choice for many DIY FMIC paint jobs. You're right, the key is to not lay it on thick, and not to plug up air passages. 1-2 mm isn't going to affect ****.

actually I was'nt really going to paint the damn thing, I just said that so you would forget about how fucked up the damn thing was, lol but whatever, It was only a consideration, not a plan of action...I was looking at it as a option to whatever else.....you need some chill, get laid or somthing man, you get to worked up to easy p90puma , I already Have done all the bends today actually, I went to shop and got a 90' done and some others as well, I'll have pics up by tommorow, and as stated above(he is right and thats what I had planned for my 12x9x2.5) I had this done with my old vr4 and On my best buds 323 gtx.

Actually... I've planned to paint my IC for the longest time. And you don't spray paint it so it looses its effeciency.. you paint it with black radiator paint... it doesn't make the IC any less effecient. **** my spelling
