Oil drain options

I was at a hydraulic shop today getting an oil feed line made and was discussing some options for the oil drain fitting/location.
On my 99 with AC and PS, there is plenty of crap in the way of getting a straight shot to the side of the pan, so I was trying to think out of the box and came up with these alternatives: Attachment 234595 Depending on the angle of the drain line, I can use a 45 or a 90. After seeing another member do this: Attachment 234596 it looks like a way easier way to do this, especially with a 90 degree -8 AN fitting. I can either run a 90 right off the pan, or run the straight fitting off the pan and use the -8 AN 90 degree adapter if I can't line up the regular 90 on the pan. And in this location, there's less chance of hitting the oil pickup tube: Attachment 234597 What do ya think? |

Use CSS tubing. It is easy to thread through PS AC etc and tough enough to retain its shape.
