Default t28 question

ive been searching, but im new to turbos
my friend has a extra GARRETT A/R60 M24 1-2 and said he'd sell it to me for $150, is that a good deal? can i use that on a 93 1.6l miata?

i want to turbo my car, but i dont have the money atm, if its a god deal ill get it and set it off to the side for the time being

also, anyone know any info on it?

(as always click to enlarge)

EDIT
after finding the tag on the exhaust side, i did some more searching to find that its this turbo
http://www.frsport.com/Garrett-GT256...WG_p_2303.html
would it work good for a miata?

if it's really a BB turbo then its very much worth the price. If not, its still not a bad buy. If that tag really indicates a GT2560R, then it's one of the most common turbos put on a miata.

Pump it up with a bicycle pump, you will end up boosting above 10psi at some point anyways so i wouldn't worry about it.

If the turbo is in good condition then yes, it's a great deal, but if it needs a rebuild, I'd pass. Ball bearing turbos are not rebuildable. You'd have to buy a new cartridge. It looks like it came off of a stock car, which usually means high miles.
