oil return line

hey I think mine may be a lil too long ? any insight

Yeah man it's pretty damn long. You only need like 36-38" for most turbo placements. I have a 46" one and it's alot longer than I like. You can run it though without problems, it just won't look or sit nice in the engine bay. If you wan't to use it till you can get a shorter one go ahead. Use it forever or whatever. Might even be able to have a local hydrualic shop cut it to length and put a new end on it for you when you're sure how long you want it for less than $8

By oil return you do mean oil feed don't you?
If that is your return line then you're way off base. You want -3 or -4AN line for you feed, that looks like -4AN. But you want atleast 5/8" line for a oil drain -10AN line is great for drains. Any smaller and you won't have good flow, better safe than sorry. |
I did"nt know, what size line should I use for both oil feed and drain. theres a local hydrolic shop...any clue what I should ask for?

Oil Feed: -4 AN line
Oil Drain: -10AN high temp silicone with press-on fittings or use the appropriate hosebarbs and hose clamps just for ease of taking on and off. Get 2' and cut it to length. What size is the steel braided line you have? I'd put on end on, figure out what length you need. Then take it to the shop have them cut it and put a new end on it as your feed. If you need a restrictor use a 1/8" aluminum poprivet between two AN fittings, make sure it's aluminum. |
Rican... are you in the Tampa area? I'm in Seminole Heights. I'm in the early planning stages of a T2 of some kind, and would love to chat with you.
