Default Beaded and Powdercoated Pipes

I had a problem last summer with my intercooler pipes blowing off at 14psi, so I had my pipes beaded this past week. While my intercooler pipes were off the car, I also had them powercoated. They turned out great besides the ******* overspray! I can't believe a powdercoating company can send out a job with silver overspray on black pipes. The powdercoating was done as a favor so I guess I can't be too upset. I just wish they were done right the first time so I don't have to take them off my car again.

Is it silver over spray or missing coat?

It's definitely sliver overspray. It's so obvious I don't know how the packager missed it. Very poor quality control on their part.

Maybe it's just silver fleck?

Nice pipes, though.

i think of all the times this phrase is used, now may be the one right time:

that'll buff out.

Indeed. A clay bar will make short work of that overspray.

My powercoat is indestructable. Wether you clay/buff/paint thinner them I doubt you will hurt the coating any.
Great looking pipes though.

I didn't think of that. I guess I'll give it a shot.

I used a company in Quakertown. I'll get the name of the place if you're interested. I think it's a $150 minimum to start. After that, it's very affordable.

If it was done as a favor, quit bitching.

Also, for beading, I prefer the ghetto "run a weld bead around the pipe and call it a day". Much cheaper. If you have a welder.
