Over Radiator Intercooler Choices

So I bought my kit as is and been driving on my setup for 5-6 months and would really like to make a new intercooler piping setup. Ideally, the over the radiator since my car has AC and PS and would like to keep both. I would be making my own piping so I just need some intercooler ideas. I would prefer if they had top inlets. The one that I have researched and found has the Mitsubishi Starion intercooler by CX Racing. cxracing.com: CXRacing Intercooler for Mitsubishi Starion Chrysler Dodge Plymouth Conquest

The Starion on has a core size of16.5x9x4 which I heard is the approximate size of the factory holes in the radiator support.

Just wondering if anything can post pictures of this setup or over over the radiator intercooler piping setups.

Let me know

Look at Downmented's build thread. He is using that exact intercooler.

It'd be helpful if you posted the specs on your car. The TDR intercooler is much the same (more $$$) and I used mine that I had leftover from my supercharger days. That said, NB is different than NA.

If you search my username for threads started in the build thread section you will find my thread on where I did an over the radiator IC setup on my 97. I actually just pulled it from my car yesterday.

1990 with a 1.6 engine. FM exhaust parts with a gt2554r. Running at 12psi it did 208whp and 183wtq. I plan to run AC and PS as well. The tdr kit is exactly what i want except the price.

As Psyber stated, here is the link to the section of my build thread where I get the IC mounted and piping ran.

I was just noticing with that set-up, none of the radiator is directly exposed to the front of the car (through the bumper opening). Does this pose a problem for the radiator's functionality? I wasn't sure how well the air flows through the intercooler core, externally.

No

For a street car, it's not a problem. For a track car, it does pose a problem.

Given the location of that intercooler, how would you propose fresh air be introduced to the radiator? "From the back of the intercooler" gets an F- in Ducting 101

I understand what the question was now; for some reason I had it in my head about the radiator being level with the crossmemeber, but I was clearly incorrect. I thought the protrusion of the radiator up top was in question as to whether or not it hurts function.
