The hood pins are aerocatch, and I love them and the flush look. Obviously they are open in this picture. They seem to work fairly well As for the I/C.. its the big CXracing one that everyone's using. 24x12x3?

Assuming:

h_air = 50 W/m*k
h_aluminum = 221 W/m*k
h_polyethylene = 0.50 W/m*k (closest thing to paint I can find...)

I found some formula and got a heat transfer coefficient of:

without paint: 40.774155458486 W/m*k
with paint: 40.774153752544 W/m*k

For a reduction in heat transfer of 0.0000042%. Not a whole lot. Not 100% sure I did it right though. I'm going over it.

emissivity of aluminum = lo fi

emissivity of flat blackness = hi fi

add that to your calcs and smoke it
