Passenger Fan CFM?
I was told the passenger side fan is only used when the AC is on. Is that correct?
After mounting a intercooler the fan no longer fit between the radiator and sway bar. I would like to get a slim fan with at least the same cfm as stock. Summitracing seems to have some reasonably priced slim fans. Thanks |
That is correct. I couldn't tell you how much it flows, though.

siliconeintakes.com has some nice, cheap fans. I have one 12 inch with a mishimoto rad, and it is enough to keep it cool at idle.

Thanks for the website. That's a good price for a slim fan.
So would it be a good idea to hook up the fans so they both come on when needed instead of just one? |

If I run wires from one fan to the other it should turn on both fans when it gets hot.
But how do I prevent the driver side fan from kicking on if I'm only using AC? Or is that even an issue? |

Thats how to make both come on. The ECU is set so that the fans come on at a temperature, say 190 degrees, then it turns them off when it gets below a slightly lower temp, say 187 degrees. So by doing that wiring mod, both fans will follow that rule, and you turning on the AC will not turn on the fans. |

You don't, you want both to run with a/c. that's how it works from the factory. if you want the a/c fan to come on with the main fan, you wire the black/blue wire from the a/c fan to the yellow wire of the main.
Thus allowing each fan to use its own relay. |
you can do that too, which would be prefered, but i dont think ive heard of anyone having failure this way.

It's mounted similar to track dog style. So without moving the radiator I'll have to cut through the entire radiator support.
