The Perfect Exhaust For Me
I finally got around to putting flashlegs old greddy kit on my 91 Miata that replaced my original 92 Greddy Miata I sold at the beginning of the summer. The exhaust I had on my original turbo Miata was a bit loud for my taste, 2.5" Dowpipe back(no cat) into a dynomax turbo muffler and out the back, so this time I spent some time doing to research and put together an exhaust I am extremely satisfied with. My goal was to have an exhaust that was extremely free flowing, but wasn't much if any louder than the factory system. Here is what it is: Racing Mazda 2.5" downpipe into the midpipe which is 2.5" as well, but with a glasspack style resinator installed, from there it goes into the bend and into a dynomax turbo muffler and out the back via a Silverline 3" tip. Not only do I love the look of this exhaust, but it is very quiet and free flowing. I choose not to use a cat as emissions aren't enforced where I live and my car will spend more time on the autox track than the street more than likely, okay maybe not. I haven't noticed a difference in spool from the system on my old car to this one. The glasspack style resinator toned it down a lot, but I don't think it hurt the spool up. I"ll post pics later today
