Default Ebay turbo supplier preferences

Backstory: It appears that the hardware that secures my CHRA to my turbine housing is fucked. I can literally spin the turbo in the housing. I'm willing to bet that it is more of a problem of this being a used turbo rather than insane EGTs making it fail, however I've been thinking of upgrading for a while and it seems like an opportune time pending results of trying to re-fasten it.

So, I've been considering a t3/t4 for a while now. I don't want to hear about how shitty my spool will be or how I should go with a gt28 instead. 1. I'm fully aware of what my powerband will look like, I'm not some retarded noob. 2. I'm set up for a t3 already, so the next step up from what I have is either a 60 trim (not that much bigger) or a 50 trim t04e compressor. I have a goal in my head that I'm trying to reach, and I think that I'll be able to hit it with a turbo that size on pump gas while maintaining reasonable spool if I upgrade my exhaust and keep a .48ar housing.

So anywho, what suppliers are you ebay turbo guys using? Tacotaco? CXRacing? There are quite a few t3/t4s around, but it is apparent from the pictures that they are not all created equal. I'm looking for real world experience from those who have run these for a little while, smoking, shaftplay, let me hear it. I'm confident enough in the success of others to run one of these, but I'd like to stack the deck a little bit on buying one .

Thanks gays.

Jeff

Get a GT2860R.

Seriously though, I'm just about finished installing my OBX turbo and everything seems to be quite good. No shaft play and spins really well.

Damnit. I've been thinking of going t3 as well. I think i'll build myself a T3 setup and keep my T25 setup in case I hate it.

Jeff I want to go for a ride in your car.

Dustin, you are just about closer to me than anyone else here as the crow flys yet you are so far away logistically. We should still try and meet up someday somehow.

No built engine. I was in front of him when we went for a drive and I didn't see much of his car in my mirror. It might have had something to do with the road trying to shake our cars apart.

If you and Kurt get that diff taken care of this weekend I'll probably be up that way Saturday to pick it up. You can try to kill my turbo then we can grab a beer .

Oh we'll have it out tomorrow or friday no problem. If you bring your axles/ds with you we can even install the new diff up here. Only takes a couple of hours.

lol, what engine are you running? I've only got 1597cc. You're on. Hopefully I'll have my exhaust taken care of soon so I can drive it.

I thought you had a 1.8??? Oh well, either way, this thread is quickly getting de-railed

Back on topic.

I tightened stuff down last night, drove to work today, and the CHRA still spins in the housing. I might try to pull everything apart this weekend but it isn't looking like it is even worth my time to save this ****. For 150 bucks I could get something 1. new and 2. bigger. Looks like I'll be loving tacotaco here pretty soon :/

DVCN has run the chinese t3/t4 for years and his videos of driving it are great. I would use whatever he is using in this thread: https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t11402/
