Question for manifold builders
I want to build something along the lines of the BEGI S4 style. This is my first build and my question is how many 90 deg , 45 deg bends , straight pipe should I look at buying.
Cheers. |
Which one again is the S4? In any case, I would look at a pic of it, and count the bends. :ugh:

Id buy a knockoff begi S4 on ebay and reinforce it. Cheaper, faster and could be fun.

By reinforce do you mean cut it down and then re weld it all back up together. Would this work I got the impression all knock off use bad material and dont fit ect.
And now I have thought about it like that counting the bends probabaly is the easiest way. :bang: |

Build a brace for it that can attach it to the engine and support the downpipe better. Maybe weld in some reinforcement bars that extend from the turbo flange to the exhaust flange. I bet with like 20 dollars worth of scrap you can make it totally work. You can seriously be a pioneer. Last I checked the manifold goes for 125 on ebay. |
As good as this does sound I live in the UK so I would also have to ship it over here so it would all add up but I will think about it.
|
my only advice if you get the ebay manifold: make sure that turbo not hit block

I think I will stay clear of the ebay 'goods'. I want the practice anyway.
