Rb20 turbo on my 94

Hey everyone, I have been looking forever to try and find the answer to this question and I cant seem to find it. So I am coming out of the woodworks.

I am putting a Nissan RB20DET turbo on my miata. As most of you know already, its a ceramic ball bearing turbo that is both oil and water cooled. And with our miatas running 60psi (oil pressure that is) in high rpms, I would like to keep the oil seals in tact. From the reading I have done, if it was a journal bearing turbo, I wouldn't really need to worry about it all that much. But a ball bearing is a different story.

The turbo I bought didnt come with any of the lines or stock banjo bolts, so I am ordering lines. And I was curious if i need to run a restrictor? And if so, what size?

Pop rivet. Seriously.

Pop rivet?

.030 welding tip, or the kinugawa adapter MADE FOR YOUR TURBO, or an adapter sold by almost any turbo parts source.

Where have you been searching? I swear it says right on the garrett website, what you need.

So what you're saying is, the oil feed restriction from the banjo bolts on the stock lines restrict enough for the 60 psi that the miatas make?
Granted I have no idea what the rb20det oil pressure is.

No. You buy the oil restrictor fitting. Psi has little do do with it. Volume is everything.

Ok, so the restrictor is built into the fitting then?

Yup
