re-Mounted Gauges inside My AC vents
1 Attachment(s)
I was working on this while at work yesterday, I had these in a different before, no more slipping out of the holes, and no worry of the falling and breaking, I put the inside the eyeball vent , removing the complete eyeball assemply, removing clips and the benzels from the gauges, wrapped the gauges with electrical tape and slipped them in the plastic eyeball housing and re-installed the plastic clip ring and poped it right back in, It gives it a nice factory look, I like:bigtu: , It's nothing special I just wanted to share:bigtu:
Wonder what's going to happen when that electrical tape gets hot...
nothing will happen, I use the same stuff on my trunk lid to cover the holes left by my old spoiler, the temps outside get well over 85-95 degrees, the tape holds well under heat.
It gets slimy!
how else was I going to get the guages to stay in place , so they would'nt slide around?
buy them the right size oh well it works and that is all that matters remember the haeter in your miata is going ot blow hot air on the back of those gauges. but atleast it looks cool.:bigtu:

YEA it feels nice!

Yeah, but you you live in Florida, as do I. You need a/c year round up in this bitch just battle the humidity. I have to use the recirc with a/c and heat in the winter to defrost the windows and keep them that way while driving sometimes. And it's a must when it's raining in the summer time.
As much as I hate throwing out that boat anchor and turning the a/c on in my car, it's a must. |
