Remote Mount Turbo

So I've been thinking that maybe the best bet for my NA is to go remote mount..I was wondering if you guys had any advice or tips or....nah I'm just fucking with you...:bowrofl:

Wondering what ever happened with the dyno plots the guy at clubroadster never posted since I hate going over there and trying to dig anything up. Did he post them or is he still unheard from?

99NBMia 09-09-2008 11:21 AM

I reread the thread, and last I see is Scott saying he went to the get it dyno'd but no results are shown.

levnubhin 09-09-2008 11:25 AM

DO IT!!!! lol

Last I saw remoute mount man had more excuses as to why no dyno plots.

skidude 09-09-2008 11:35 AM

hello all,

just wanted to drop a line here in the northeast section for anyone in the connecticut area.

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008, i will be going to MONGILLO Motors in New Haven CT. at around 9:45 am to do some dyno passes.

the car is pretty much tuned, and i will be doing some final tune tweaking while the car is up on the barrel. there will be some final numbers posted after my runs.

i will do several passes at 5 psi, 10 psi, 15 psi, and 20 psi straight turbo.
i will also try to do several passes at 10 psi and 15psi with the nitrous.

hopefully the car holds together.

anyone can stop by to watch and laugh or cheer or jeer. one way or another this is it for Project Wakazashi.

wish me luck, or not. but if you're in the area - as bob barker would say....
come on down!

-kurt
remember, it's a stock 1.6L with a tiny turbo and a rear mount IC that's not functional.

y8s 09-09-2008 01:25 PM

20 psi. definitely there will be laughing.

maybe he's off training to be vice prez.

KPLAFIN 09-09-2008 01:35 PM

So it basically stands right where it did last time I looked into it. Guess he did take it seriously when he said "time for me to put up or shut up"

Fireindc 09-09-2008 01:54 PM

That thread was great entertainment.

Still waiting for dyno plots. He wouldn't even post up a log.

KPLAFIN 09-09-2008 02:00 PM

So has he commented on the dyno pull at all or has he not been back on since?

samnavy 09-09-2008 02:10 PM

He's set his "LAST VISITED" time to hidden... but you can assume he has logged on and seen the comments and simpy doesn't have the sack to admit he was wrong.

MattEGTR 09-09-2008 03:07 PM

Damn, I wish I had known, I'd have been down to watch that beast :p

Wonder how he'd feel to have his mighty rear-mount Miata get curb-stomped by an Escort?

ROFL

It was kind of funny to see a lot of the CR.net guys get on his side, then facts started to be said and the opinions shifted... :crx:

I will never understand why someone will over complicate something when its not only easier, but more cost effective to do it correctly & efficiently.

He was going to drive over 6 hours just to race me....I thought that was silly. Some 40 year olds never grow up.

Defending one's honor only goes so far, and I'm not so sure that it should apply to the interwebs.

Braineack 09-09-2008 06:40 PM

it would have been funny nonetheless.

MattEGTR 09-09-2008 09:13 PM

Oh, without a doubt. That's the kind of thing worth taking bets on.

Braineack 09-09-2008 10:07 PM

I believe there was $200 on my car  it's in one of those threads.

KPLAFIN 09-09-2008 10:12 PM

So who's calling him? I'll do it if no one else will, just post his number here since i'm not going to dig through the CR idiots.

leatherface24 09-10-2008 10:35 AM

I tried calling the shop. The jerkoff who answered the phone sighed and hung up on me after I asked for the results. Dicks

y8s 09-11-2008 02:17 PM

I find it hilarious that we are stalking this guy. Does anybody actually know him personally or are we finding all this info out purely based on information he has provided? (hidden question: would it be this easy for you all to track me down?)

You haven't seen many of the "epic" threads floating around the web have you? If people wanted they could have your whole life story, employer, address, anything they wanted in a matter of hours.

On every board there is someone with access to more information then you'd care to know :)

From this information, I would assume his project failed, and he is now "taking stock of his life" and probably realized he sucks at it:

Sounds to me like other events in his life have caused him to lose interest in the car scene for the moment. And how nice that's he's taken the time to describe to all humanity, in considerable detail, the many tattoo upgrades he is currently planning to celebrate this turning point.

it's not stalking if the information is in the first 3 pages of google results.

but yeah, if you use your FULL GODDAM NAME as your username on a forum... people can probably find you real easy. also helps if your name is somewhat uncommon.

For example, if you google "Joe Perez" you get:

Joe Perez :: An Integral Blog
Columnist with a focus on gay spirituality. Archives of the column Soulfully Gay plus a weblog called The Soulful Blogger.
but right after that you get a realtor, a lawyer, an actor, stuntman, and more gay results.

PS who has tickets to the gun show?

Joe Perez 09-11-2008 03:02 PM

HahahahaHAHAHAHAHA! :bowrofl:

You know, I've never bothered Googling myself before. Shit, that's just disturbing. Still, it's a sufficiently common name (pretty much the equivalent of John Smith in Cuba) that I imagine you could search for hours without producing a single hit on the real me.

edit: I like this one: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Who_is_Joe_Perez

Machismo 09-11-2008 03:24 PM

I googled myself once, and found out I was in prison. :giggle:

KPLAFIN 09-11-2008 03:29 PM

According to Wikipedia I'm a U.S. basketball player, a luger (:dunno:), and a professor....pretty successful life if I don't say so myself, wish i had the $$ to prove it

MattEGTR 09-11-2008 03:48 PM

Epic fail threads are what make the internet so addictive.

Bah, not that guy! My arms are the same size, and I'd be DAMNED embarrassed if someone caught me doing a double bicep!

By the way: I play for the Bengals and know how to party.
