Removing turbo, how to plug pan?
Turbos coming off. What would be the best way to go about plugging the hole in the pan? And no I don't want to replace the pan.

If the return fitting was -8 x 3/8 NPT can I just find a 3/8 NPT pug and call it a day?
|
If your nipple is JB welded in (I'm assuming you had a drain hose, not stainless) you might just clamp a short section of hose to the nipple with a metal plug (or section of bolt without the threads) hose clamped into the open end.
If you can unscrew the fitting, you can buy pipe plugs that would screw into the NPT hole. EDIT: Yes, 3/8 NPT Pipe Plug from the hardware store. |
cool. and actually i did have a stainless line.

I picked up some AN plugs from summit that I used when I was running sans turbo. worked fine.

Why are you getting rid of the turbo?
|
So
a) Unscrew from turbo side and plug that with rag b) Unscrew from pan side - oil level should be below that anyway and plug fitting with rag. |
