Requesting Ignition Map Advice
2 Attachment(s)
My build will be finished this week (NA8, Nissan 2560 equivalent, ID1000, ARTech, MS3X). What I am looking for right now is for some critique on the ignition map that I will be running to start with until I make it to a dyno to tune it properly. I know it is different for every car, so I want to ensure that this ignition map is safe enough to allow some margin in case my car is more detonation prone than the average Miata. The ignition map I plan to run is attached. I will smooth it more once I get it into TS. Let me know what you think! Thanks!

you 81kPa row is what the stock ECU would be at 100kPa, I think you've started retarding a bit too early. Overall in boost it's a VERY conservative timing map.
I would add 5° to my 205kPa row, make the 81kPa row my 106kPa row, then interpolate between the 205 and 106. |

I thought the DIY map was a good one to use?

Just a heads up, if you are in California be careful with most maps, even very conservative or "safe" maps. It is hard to imagine how bad our 91 is until you start tuning with it.
