not sure If its the right forum so please move it if I am wrong.

I need to rebuild my Garrett GT2854R and I just wanna change the basic unit and not housing. And because I am going to visit your country for a business trip in the next week I wanna be clever and I buy it there as I expect it to be much cheaper. So here comes the question: Do you guys know a good and trustful shop to buy the unit? Don´t wanna get china stuff for my $$...

You´re right, but you can change the whole internal unit.

 

yeah to "rebuild" it you basically replace the whole CHRA. there is no chinese version if, you have to get the garrett part - looks like its part #446179-47 is for a GT2854R.

 

Yes, that´s what I mean! But there is a chinese version of every part you´ll find on the planet So still looking for the trustful shop.

I would imagine that if you get in contact with a "Garrett Performance Distributor" that is local to the area you will be visiting, they will probably be able to help you out.

When you get a hold of someone, post up the results. I'm sure there are plenty of guys who are interested in new CHRAs but we don't have a lot of details.
