Silicone Upper Radiator Hose for FM Crossflow
Have an FM crossflow radiator in my 2002, had to get their rubber upper radiator hose but looking to switch to silicone since everything else is silicone and it bothers me.
Does anyone know a silicone hose that fits or what the P/N for the FM piece is so I can search for a silicone one. Thanks! Link of hose that I want a silicone version of- https://www.flyinmiata.com/upper-rad...-radiator.html |
Update: FM supplied me with the part number.
For anyone interested its Dayco 71273. According to Dayco its the upper radiator hose for quite a few american cars. Now just to search around to find a silicone replacement for one of these cars that looks the same and I'm good to go. Will update when I find a silicone replacement and if it fits. |
RockAuto is your friend. According to them, that hose was used on these vehicles:
BUICK ROADMASTER 1994-1996 CADILLAC FLEETWOOD 1994-1996 CHEVROLET CORVETTE 1985-1989 CHEVROLET IMPALA 1994-1996 TOYOTA TUNDRA 2000-2004 I'd hazard a guess and say the Vette is your best bet for finding a silicone hose. Actually maybe the Tundra, given ricer tendencies. Not sure why you want silicone, though. |

I've spent the extra money to make every other hose I've bought silicone, whats one more. |
Wondering,
Has anyone seen a silicone hose fail due to age? I've seen too many rubber hose crack and spring a leak. |
