Solve boost creep? "Turbo fuse"?
 
So far, i have been unsuccessful in solving boost creep caused by the 3" exhaust. I'm trying to avoid EWG for the time being, and my engine shop ported the wastegate. Once i've got everything tuned, "boost creep" shouldn't be a problem as my target will be above what it has been creeping to. But for now, could this solve the problem? Would it let too much air bypass?

why dont you just ewg? its better and your going to do it eventually anyways.....

The fuse isn't really designed to deal with turbo creep, it's more of a safety device in the case of an overboost scenario.

165 to prevent a blown motor doesnt seem so bad. i know about 6 people of the top of my head that blew motors like this

I haven't used one, but I suspect it's not going to provide fine control over the boost level like the wastegate does. Rather, hitting the "turbo fuse" is probably going to be similar to hitting the rev limiter with a massive power cut.

Based on the description, it seems it will start to dump *all* pressure if it hits a certain level. That would be useless in curing boost creep.

Most decent aftermarket ECU's should have boost cut built in.
