Can someone find me online place which sells -3AN female to same size (or similar) hose barb fitting?

Something like this but in -3 AN size:

Summit doesn't offer one for sure.

Just get a regular 3an fitting and take the cap off and put the hose on the threads, noone will ever know.

Is that red cap removable like the bigger sizes for the SS braided hose?

RusMan 02-17-2008 08:03 PM

It should be, also depends on brand style of fitting. I know mine do.

chucker 02-17-2008 08:13 PM

-3 AN size = rare

RusMan 02-17-2008 10:33 PM

yes, should've went with -4 instead. Just my opinion

Savington 02-17-2008 11:00 PM

What are you using it for? If it's not an oil feed line, -4 is going to be a shit-ton easier to find stuff for.

The_Pipefather 02-18-2008 11:30 AM

is -3 AN preferable for restricting the oil flow?

Ha, if it wasn't rare I wouldn't have asked ...

vacuum lines. I am on my way to replace any brass fitting I still have left in the engine bay (just few left attached to vacuum lines) with aluminum AN stuff (both lighter and much easier to disconnect than pulling hoses off barbed fittings) ...

Touche, mister!

Pics of engine bay with all those lines please. How much did you spend on those?:bang:

No, just use -4 lines and use a restrictor at the turbo if you need it. ATP turbo makes nice adapters with restrictors.

Savington 02-18-2008 02:41 PM

I ran a -3AN line with no restrictor for my journal-bearing turbo with no issues. Switched to a .035 restrictor for the GT2554R.

J-man, just use -4AN line, or mabye try a local place like Royal Brass.
