SR20 T25 Oil lines
About to have a buddy build me some AN lines to get this project on the road! I'd love to use an M10x1.5 to -3AN fitting to go into the block ('90) so I don't need a restrictor at all....but I can't find any. So I'm probably going with a -4AN oil feed line. ATP makes a feed fitting with a built in .035' restrictor, I'm assuming this will be about right for a -4AN line + journal bearing? Or should I be looking for a different size restrictor....thanks!
**I've seen yes and no on restrictors for journal bearing SR20 T25s, and I know they come with a restrictor on the OEM feed lines. But I haven't found anything relating to the size of the feed line (-3 vs -4) and the associated restrictor size required.** |
That fitting will work fine. I use it with all the Garrett T25/28 turbos that I use.

Well, I was about to say oops I got my measurements backwards. .035” is typically for ball bearing turbos, I need a .060” restrictor. But I guess not lol.
You use it on journal bearing turbos as well? |
You are overthinking it. Run that fitting with a -4an line. You will be fine.

Will do, thank you!

And while I'm here let's go ahead and nail down length of the feed and drain line, it will be built halfway across the country and shipped to me so I need an accurate length to give him.
Feed: 24" with 90* fittings on each side sound sufficient? Source will be the high pressure port on the side of the block. Drain: 20 inch line (not going to be very flexible), 90* on one side, straight fitting on the other Mainly concerned with the drain line, it won't be flexible so I'll need it to be spot on with the measurement |
Any thoughts?
