stalling bogging down

Ok, so I just hooked my turbo and this is what the setup is.

00 NB
16turbo
externally wastegated and vacuum line hooked into manifold
non intercooled
stock ecu
no BOV for now ( I tried it with a BOV that was recirc and it didnt help)

I start the car, it idles fine, no check engine lights. I can rev it and it will return to normal....for a little bit. Eventually it will then no longer return to idle and bog way down to about 500-700 rpm and take a long time to build back up. If I step on the gas normal it will stall and die. If I slowly give it gas and slowly let off it will be fine. Whats my issue?

oh I forgot. We added a manual boost controller to try and cure the problem...its running at like 1psi.

You have no engine/fuel management?
Your stock knock sensor will sense knock and retard the shit out of your timing up to a point. It might even put you in a "limp home" mode.
Your stock ECU isn't made to understand boost, you have to have some sort of piggyback or standalone system to run boost in our cars. It's not like an NA greddy kit where the AFPR is adding fuel. Your stock ECU only does so much. Plus there is the issue of lean tip in because you have no O2 clamp.
It's not possible to run lower boost than what your wastegate spring is rated for. Your boost readings must be wrong unless you have a 1psi spring or an open WG.

ok well luckily my emu is on the way. So if I plug that in and tune it..that should clear up my issues? Sorry to sound retarded but im a total noob to this.
