Started installation, a few questions

I started installation on my 1.6L engine and I've run into a few questions. I'm using a GT2560r and an HKS cast iron manifold with a DIYPNP.

1) The manifold I'm using is an HKS manifold, I'm told. Do I need to cut in a vertical thermal expansion slot in the center like is recommended with the ebay cast iron manifolds?

2) The input port of the Wastegate Actuator is right next to the manifold. I can't tell how the actuator is attached to the bracket... Am I able to clock just the WGA?

3) For plumbing the intake, how many fittings will I need in the intake? I know I need an IAT sensor in the intake line, but what about the stainless line on the right side of the valve cover? I need to run the bypass valve back into the intake too, right?

4) In the charge piping, I just need a BPV/BOV connection, BAT sensor connection, and IAC connection, right?

Thanks for your help, I could have never done this without the help of the internet.

1. up to you, doesnt hurt to find a shop with a bandsaw that can quickly make the cutes.

2. depends on the bracket. got pics? it's usually on two studs and you can unbolt and flip around. but some are integrated into the bracket and youre SOL.

3. AIT should be fitted after the intercooler (ideally on the outlet endtank). the brsather line from the VC should go back to the intake, NOT, boosted charge pipes.

4. BAT sensor?

It is a sensor designed and engineered by Faeflora. It looks for a Big Ass Turbo. Your BAT indicator will light up after installation (but before dyno) of a Borg Warner S366.

2. Here are a few pics that I have at work, they're not the best. Looks like I'm SOL. The manifold will probably melt right through a rubber hose, is there another hose I can use that will protect that line?

4. BAT = boosted air temp. If the AIT needs to be post turbo then AIT = BAT. So the only line in the intake I need is the BPV return line if I go with a Bypass valve instead of a BOV?

yeah, you have the SOL type.

Damn, looks like another $100 I get to spend on a new WGA and bracket. :vash:

If this one can't be made to work, there are others on the site:
