t25 difference

is there a difference in the fm t2560r and sr20det t25 exhaust flsnge?

i have a sr20 t25, and just recently got a fm manifold, t25 dp elbow, and exhaust dp(from a nb he said).some reason the 5bolt exhaust flange they are different

The SR20det T25 and the GT2560 use the exact same exhaust flange for both the inlet and outlet. That flange is commonly referred to as "T2 Standard". Just about any new Garrett T25 you find will have that flange.

DSM's use a Mitsubishi T25 that has a funky proprietary flange.

Ford sold cars with T25's that use a 4-bolt.

There are probably some other T25 flange styles out there, but not in numbers that you're likely to come across them.

Now, YOU CANNOT SWAP HOUSINGS on those 2 turbo's because the turbine wheels are different sizes, but the housing will bolt up to the same manifold and DP.

I think the Z32 300Z twin turbo T25's are also 4 bolt. I have an SR20DET (FWD) T25 and it bolts right up to a BEGI downpipe I bought.

The 300ZX Z32 T25 turbo's do have a different flange from the sr20det t25. It's a 4 bolt setup, and finding a flange was a PITA.

The Z32 turbos are a T22, not quite a T25. I'm pretty sure someone on here was able to get a flange from Specialty-Z when I referred them there.

is the downpipe to the exhaust no na -nb all the same? i guess the same bend

I know the 90-93 have the same bends but the flange is different and the 90-93's cat is a few inches farther back then the 94-97 (or visa versa). Im pretty sure the NB's are incompatible without some modification. Somone correct me if im wrong.

I asked Stephanie the same question a while back. They had a great deal on 1.8 downpipes, but I had a 1.6. Basically she said the only difference is the location of the flange that mates with the cat. Since I was building a custom 2.5 exhaust from the downpipe back, I didn't care about that so I bought it.

so i guessing i can use the nb stock downpipe. just have to see which way the flange is that mates the cat. got it

I think the 1.8 flange at the cat is oriented differently and is in a different location (fwd/aft) compared to the 1.6. Can't say for sure though. I'd call FM or BEGi and ask them as they have both of them right there to compare.

Well I can't comfirm if the NB downpipe is different then an NA as I personal experience as I haven't tried but I do know that the NB cat-backs are different then an NA cat-back, which leads me to believe the downpipe is different.

As for the NA6 and NA8. Yea there is a 2in difference in length. I know form personal experience as I need to get a custom exhaust done still cause somewhere down the line of POs of my manifold and downpipe someone matched a 1.6 DP with a 1.8 Manifold. :vash:
