T25 internal wastegate modification

Got an SR turbo from a friend of mine and realized the wastegate wasnt even close to working after reclocking the turbo and positioning the oil drain and feed. Anyways i bought the kit in the pic below and mounted it to the compressor housing. Let me know what you guys think about it.

Title says external wastegate though, but yeah...that should work for ya. That's almost exactly how I had mine.

Sorry, changed the title

I see that, but you still never modified the wastegate.
All you did was mount a different actuator in a way that works with your setup.
I mean, it looks like you did good, just improper terminology.

When clocking sr20 turbos it's normal for the actuator not to fit. Same in my case. I had to buy an aftermarket actuator that can be bolted to the compressor housing bolts so it's in the correct position. Your setup looks fine. And as long as the arm can extend fully to open the flap without binding, your golden.

You could have paid that money to a performance shop in your area that would fab up a bracket for the original wastegate. If you are going higher boost than WG pressure I would not use this replica.

I just kept my SR turbo in a similar clocking as comes from factory.
When I was looking at different clockings, I found holes which could be used to mount the bracket.
Some imagination can go a long way to save money.

any shop would charge way more than the cost of the aftermarket actuator to actually design and manufacture a bracket that will fit the stock actuator. making a bracket from scratch is hours of work, and then having a machine shop make a run of 1 part is not cheap.
